Evil Ted is the creator and host of the popular The Evil Ted Channel tutorial series, and the Evil Ted Live stream on Twitch. Filling a void in the sci-fi, gaming and comic community and quickly amassing a dedicated following of over 100,000 fans, Ted’s tutorials teach cosplayers how to build realistic armor and weapon replicas out of foam.
Ted’s love of science fiction and superheroes began as a child in the 70’s in St. Louis, Missouri, where he spent his days and nights reading comics and watching sci-fi shows. Absorbed in the escapist journey to other planets and unable to find what he wanted at the toy store, Ted began to build ray guns and spaceships out of cardboard and papier maché. After honing his self-taught skills, Ted moved to Los Angeles and began working at a prophouse, making props and replicas for film and television.
A beloved figure in the cosplay community, Ted loves to interact with people learning to build. His booth is always a popular destination at conventions, with fans stopping by to show him their amazing creations. While his tutorial series keeps him busy, Ted remains a sought-after propmaker. His work can be seen on such shows and features as Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, Hunger Games, Criminal Minds, Walking Dead, and Daredevil.
