With Guy Henry, the Empire makes its entrance as part of our GALACTIC CANTINA at CCON | COMIC CON STUTTGART 2023. The British-born actor used sophisticated face mapping technology to transform himself into Wilhuff Tarkin, previously portrayed by Peter Cushing in A New Hope nearly 40 years earlier, in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016).
Also leaning toward the dark side, Henry could also be seen in the two film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In the final chapter, he can be seen as Minister of Magic Pius Thicknesse as a member of Lord Voldemort’s puppet regime. He can currently be seen as Doctor Monroe in the miniseries Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
Guy Henry studied at the “Royal Academy of Dramatic Art” and made his first television appearance in 1982. A series of roles in serial productions followed. In 2006 he starred alongside Padmé Amidala actress Natalie Portman in the thriller V for Vendetta.
The versatile actor has also made a name for himself as a theater actor. He has appeared in numerous plays, including as a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
