A high visitor from the Star Wars galaxy has announced himself at CCON | COMIC CON STUTTGART 2023, because the Emperor himself will be there exclusively on Saturday, 09.12.2023 and enrich our GALACTIC CANTINA with another highlight. The ultimate villain was played by Ian McDiarmid, who for a long time, well disguised as Senator Palpatine, consistently pursued his takeover of power.
The Scottish actor first transformed himself into the sinister ruler of the galaxy in 1983’s Return of the Jedi. Since then, he has embodied the role in further episodes of the Skywalker saga and lent his voice to the popular character in various animated series (such as Tales of the Jedi, 2022).
An expressive character actor, Ian McDiarmid has acted in and directed a wide range of plays throughout his career to date, and was also active as a theater director for many years. But his filmography has also grown considerably during this time. Fans of the fantastic genres will certainly know him from Sleepy Hollow (1999, directed by Tim Burton) or the classic Dragonslayer (1981), among others.
Ian McDiarmid will be present exclusively at CCON 2023 on Saturday (December 9, 2023, Episode VI was released in German cinemas exactly 40 years ago!). In addition to the vouchers for autographs and the “regular” photo session, the Ticket Shop will also offer you the extra option to be immortalized together with the actor in front of his legendary throne.
