Alexander Cameltoe

One of Berlin’s legendary dragkings and genderfuck performers, Alexander Cameltoe is dedicated to playing with different forms of masculinity and leans into the extremes across the gender spectrum. He exists on sliding scales between fuckboi and sweet himbo, nobility and scumbag, high art and cheap trash, humanoid robot and mushroom-like alien. Alexander was born in the legendary House of Presents in Berlin and has since made a name for himself in the Berlin drag scene. He is also part of the Venus Boys Collective and active as a solo performer, presenter, event producer, theater maker and visual artist.

As artist in residence, Alexander presents his monthly show “Hive Tea” every summer at the Berlin club Klunkerkranich. In 2022 he premiered his play “All the Heroes are Cancelled“, a Drag-Theatre piece about male gender roles somewhere between Slapstick Comedy and Meta-Horror. Summer of 2022 Alexander performed in Bastian Kraft’s iconic production of Antonin Dvorak’s Rusalka at the Stuttgart State Opera in the role of the Watergoblin Vodník. Currently Alexander is working on a new show format by the name of “UNDERWORLD: MYCELIUM”, a creative symbiosis between queer artists from New Yor City and Berlin, which will be showing at Ballhaus Berlin on August 18^th and 19^th.
