Das Deutsche Kinderhilfswerk (The German Children’s Fund)

For more than 50 years, the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk has been campaigning for children in Germany and their rights. Our goal is a child-friendly Germany in which all children have fair opportunities regardless of their background. Our work focuses on overcoming child poverty and the participation of children and young people in all matters that affect them. We support children’s and youth projects throughout Germany in the areas of education, nutrition, recreation and exercise to give children at risk of poverty the chance to discover their potential and abilities. We are also committed to providing sufficient opportunities for play, cultural education and the competent use of media.

kindersache.de is the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk participatory website for children. Here, children can write articles and stories and post their own videos and animated films online. The website informs children about their rights and about topics such as politics, the environment, sport and the media.
