KosyMo Sci-Fi Modellbau

There are many models of starfighters and space cruisers from Star Wars and Star Trek – but the models from KosyMo Sci-Fi Modellbau are in a completely different league: thanks to precise machining, minute details and the use of precisely adapted LED lighting technology, the space ships from the sci-fi universe look like in the movies.

Not only is everything taken care of in the technical implementation – the ships are also depicted in such a way that they appear as if they were in a space battle, in a landing approach or during a tricky maneuver in space. Not only prefabricated kits are used, but also just a highly accurate resin printer, which can accurately represent even the small laser cannon aperture. Included are well-known spaceships from e.g. Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Captain Future, Perry Rhodan, Interstellar, Star Trek, Babylon 5, etc.

You’ll find KosyMo Sci-Fi Modellbau’s big exhibition in Hall 4 as part of the GALACTIC CANTINA at CCON | COMIC CON STUTTGART 2023, including a brand new Star Wars diorama. All we say is “First transporter (GR-75) launched!”

The man behind KosyMo Sci-Fi model making

My name is Alexander Kosyra and I was born in Munich in 1969. I am married and have one son. To balance work and everyday stress I build SciFi models since 2014. My first model was the “Venator-Class” from Revell.

But the simple gluing together according to the building plan was too boring for me! My models should live and they should glow! So I started to work with LED technology and acquired the necessary knowledge on my own. To the simple LEDs came sophisticated controls for the effects, movement and various sound modules. In the meantime, there are more than fifty models from film and television, each of which is absolutely unique.
