CCON | COMIC CON STUTTGART 2023 | GALACTIC CANTINA | Panel: Star Wars Tourism - Visiting the Galaxy far, far away on Earth | Sander de Lange

Visiting the Galaxy far, far away on Earth

From the deserts of Tunisia and California to the glaciers of Norway and the palaces of Italy and Spain, Star Wars filming sites are on everyone’s travel bucket list.

Our team of seasoned travel experts, led by Star Wars Insider’s own travel writer, Sander de Lange, will help you learn about where to go, how to get there, and how to get the most out of it with your fellow Star Wars fans.

With a special focus on Europe, we’ve got the info and tips for you to plan your next journey! Rounding out our crew of galactic tourism panelists is Andreas Laube (“Skywalking Across The Stars”).

The presentation will be in English and will take place on the stage in the GALACTIC CANTINA area in Hall 4. The date for the panel (in English language) will be announced in time before CCON | COMIC CON STUTTGART 2023 in the program schedule.

About the panel leader

Sander de Lange has been a Star Wars fan since seeing The Phantom Menace in a local Dutch cinema in 1999. He wrote the backstory for Niai Fieso through the “What’s the Story?” contest and was later asked by Leland Chee to write the Rogues Gallery feature in Star Wars Insider.

Besides the Star Wars Insider, his articles have appeared on StarWars.com, Fantha Tracks and the Teekay-421 Magazine of the Belgium Star Wars Fanclub, for which he is also a core member in the organization. For the German Star Wars Magazin and Journal Of The Whills he has combined his love for Star Wars and travelling the world to filming locations by writing about them in the Travelling the galaxy-article series. He is also the co-founder of GFFA Journeys, a community focused on visiting the Star Wars filming locations, and to help people plan their own journeys to them.
